It is informed that all Recreation Forest has been closed to the public from 1 November 2017 until 28 February 2018, following the monsoon season and the risk of the water head. The Terengganu State Forestry Department will not be responsible for all accidents occurring in the Recreational Forest. Unauthorized inclusion is an offense and will be charged under the National Forestry Act 1984.

On 18 September 2017, a CCleaner computer network was hacked and this caused the software to be affected. The affected versions are currently CCleaner 5.33.6162 and also CCleaner Cloud 1.07.3191. Both affected versions are only for Windows users, and only 32-bit versions. Consequently, users are advised to update the software to the latest version to avoid being hacked.
