The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KeTSA) will implement the Malaysian Greening Program through the 100 Million Cultivation Campaign from 2021 to 2025. This campaign was officiated and launched by the YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia on 5 January 2021 at his official residence. The implementation of this campaign aims to increase the awareness of all parties on the importance of green and forest coverage areas for well-being and quality of life as well as efforts to improve the country's ecosystem and biodiversity.
The launch of the Malaysian Greening Program through the 100 Million Tree Cultivation Campaign at the Terengganu State level was launched by the YAB Menteri Besar of Terengganu on 5 January 2021 at the official residence of Seri Iman, Kuala Terengganu symbolically planting Penaga Lilin (Mesua ferrea) trees. The 100 million tree planting campaign was also welcomed by UniSZA kampus Besut, Warga Kolej Ranaco, MPKK Kampung Getang, Merbau Pulas, Cherang Nibong, Tajin Hulu Terengganu, komuniti Kampung Bari Kecil, Kampung Telaga Papan Setiu, Komuniti Dungun, Komuniti Kampung Kenak dan Kampung Bukit Wan, together with the Terengganu State Forestry Department by planting various trees signifies support for the Malaysian Greening Program.
